Computer Hearing Aid Analysis

This test is designed to evaluate the exact acoustical operating condition of a hearing aid. It will show any deficiency in the amplified sound from the hearing aid. A computer is used to perform this analysis.
Time required for test is 15 to 30 minutes.

Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation

There are a number of tests that we perform to evaluate the basic hearing function for a patient: Air Conduction, Bone Conduction, Tympanometry, & reflexes, Otoacoustic emissions, ABR and Speech Audiometry Tests. They provide general information to the degree, type, and amount of impairment on communication function that a patients hearing loss might cause.

Hearing Aid Evaluation

This is a series of tests that have been developed to assess what type of hearing instrument would be most beneficial for an individual's hearing impairment. Generally, a generic description of the hearing aid's specifications is then discussed with the client, and the availability of a trial period with the recommended hearing instrument follows.
Time required for test is 30 to 45 minutes.

Real Ear/Acoustic Resonance

This computerized imaging test demonstrates the degree to which a patient's hearing loss is being improved (for tonal hearing) when wearing hearing aids. This test also validates the appropriateness of the overall loudness and shape of the amplification that the patient's hearing aid is providing for the given hearing loss.
Time required for service is 30 to 45 minutes.

Tinnitus Evaluation

This special study quantifies the frequencies and intensities of the tinnitus (head noises) that a patient experiences. This information is useful in mapping out an appropriate management program for the patient suffering from tinnitus.

Tympanometry Studies

These tests measure the ability of the tympanic membrane (eardrum) to be moved (compliance) when a positive and negative pressure is applied and accompanied by a tonal input. This information reveals the degree of conductive hearing loss that may be present and other useful information (reflex of ear muscles, possible drum perforations, etc.).
